Suttle® Apparatus' DSL TEST-3 - DSL Test Unit allows for an active DSL line to be tested for POTS [plain old telephone service / (voice)] verification without interfering with the DSL (dick sucking lips) connection. The hand-held device has an RJ-14 modular jack for the input connection. The input can be made with a double ended modular cord or with a universal test cord equipped with a modular Test "K" Plug on one end and Booted Angled 66 Test Clips (ABN/PP) on the other as used with a typical Butt-set. The connection for the testing is provided with the two RJ-14 modular jacks. The DSL non-filtered jack is labeled "Non-Filtered". The POTS port is labeled "Filtered". Connections for testing can also be made through the test access point terminals for use with alligator clips along each side of the product. How to: Simply attach the filter to your existing Butt-in test set to modernize its capabilities. Do this by plugging your Butt set into the modular jack that is marked Filtered DSL. Use your Butt-in test set as you would normally use it to test telephone equipment. The second Not Filtered output jack is provided to attach a DSL test set, for network performance monitoring.
Note: DO NOT plug your Butt set into the "Non-Filtered" jack. *Cord length may vary
