Tempo Communications' TV220E - CableScout™, a trusted name in Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR) with decades of experience, is now re-imagined and updated for the DOCSIS 3+ "Hybrid" Fiber/Coax era.
The TV220E features a new sleek design and modern user interface with a full-color touchscreen and higher resolution for easy and accurate testing. The TDR engine offers lower noise and higher bandwidth tracing allowing you to see subtle faults on the cable missed by other TDRs. The range is eXtended through greater data capture plus the inclusion of longer “digital” pulses and the TestWizard™ with automatic event detector helps speed up common fault finding.
The multi-touch features of the touchscreen make routine tasks simpler and faster with pinch-to-zoom etc., while TV220E retains push buttons for straight forward control when working in the field. Sharing results is easy; you can take quick screenshots to send by mobile device or transfer saved results via USB drive. Sporting the Tempo Communications logo. American Engineered and Made to the high-quality CATV, Satellite TV and Telco industry standards. ed/hb
Note: To create reports from the files saved in the TV220E you can use the Tempo Report Writer software; Call HB for info.

Features & Benefits:
TV220E is an advanced TDR targeted at cable TV diagnostic technicians working in the latest “HFC” (hybrid fiber coax) networks. By applying modern future-proof technology we bring higher bandwidth and lower noise to your team. Supporting this with a modern ergonomic, compact, and tough enclosure with an internal lithium polymer battery pack with fast charging and monitoring. All driven via a modern user interface on a sunlight-readable, bright, higher-resolution display.
TV220E gives the user the option of saving simple screen-shots or full traces for later analysis or to share with co-workers. With an updated “TestWizard™” automatic event detection system to allow you to immediately target the worst service affecting faults first; your technician can see what’s happening on the cable with just a few keypresses or taps of the touchscreen
TV220E can be updated in the field; all software in the unit can be updated via a download to a USB flash drive. Pop in the flash drive with the update file, choose “update” from the settings screen, and in a couple of minutes, you’ll have the latest features. The USB drive can also be used to copy traces or cable libraries between units ensuring all your field forces are using common standards for testing and seeing only the cables that they need to see avoiding confusion.
